Lucknow: Ahead of the crucial Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, oppositions the Samajwadi Party and the Congress were involved in a political criticism, accusing each other of being hand in glove with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP and the Congress were two sides of the same coin while Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accused the SP and the Bahujan Samaj Party of being soft on the ruling BJP. In targeting the opposition political parties, BJP’s leaders PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath in public gathering recently said; SP and BSP had destroyed the state image but Yogi Adityanath has done a great job in putting things back on track for UP’s development.
Three days back BJP’s master planner and home minister Amit Shah was present in Lucknow and took a dig at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Home Minister Shah said, those who sat at home for five years have now got new clothes stitched and claiming to return to power. Akhilesh Babu, how many days he spent abroad in these years. Where was he when UP faced Covid and then the floods? These are the people who have run their government for their family and their caste but Yogi Adityanath’s government was for all, Shah underlined.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday addressed a rally in Gorakhpur, the home district of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. While addressing a ‘Pratigya Rally’ of the party in Gorakhpur, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra hit out at the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party for alleging that the Congress party is working in collusion with the BJP. I want to ask: why don’t they stand with you in your tough times, whereas only Congress is fighting for the common people and the farmers.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, on his second leg of `Vijay Yatra’ in Hardoi, hit back at the Congress saying, Congress has no moral right to show us the mirror, the National Democratic Alliance government is pursuing the legacy of the long rule of the Congress by unleashing agencies like ED and CBI against the opposition leaders, There is no difference between the Congress and the BJP and both are two sides of the same coin, Akhilesh added.
