Lucknow, Aug-17 : In poll bound Uttar Pradesh, Union Ministers began their “BJP’s Jan Ashirwad yatra” from different parts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, with much fanfare. UP BJP Gen Sec Anoop Gupta said the union ministers would cover over 100 Assembly constituencies during these yatras by August 20. On the objective behind the outreach programme, the ministers said the BJP-led governments at the Centre as well as the state are working for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youths and women and this could be achieved only with the “blessings of the public”. Union Ministers Pankaj Chaudhary, Ajay Mishra and Kaushal Kishore from Monday started their yatra in three separate “raths” prepared for the purpose.

BSP chief Mayawati claimed the BJP was organising its ”Jan Ashirwad Yatra” as it has “lost sleep” over the “success” of her party”s seminars for intellectuals. Her reaction came a day after the Uttar Pradesh BJP tweeted a poster in which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was portrayed as a ”karmayogi”, while Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav were described as ”sattabhogis”. Owing to the success of the seminars organised for the intellectual section by my party, the BJP has lost its sleep and it is furious.

Mayawati said that the successes of the Prabudh class conference as well as the large turnout in the meetings were giving sleepless nights to the BJP leaders. BJP Uttar Pradesh’s Twitter stated that while BJP government and chief minister Yogi Adityanath was busy organising relief and rescue operations in the flood hit areas, the BSP was holding caste conferences instead of helping the flood victims. To hide its failure, the BJP government is indulging in shameful acts. It is adopting various ploys to stop the BSP conferences. Instead of launching ‘Jan ashirvad yatra’ the BJP should have organised ‘flood victims’ assistance yatra’ to help the flood victims in Uttar Pradesh, BSP Chief said.

Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore began his yatra from Unnao and covering Sitapur Rae Bareli and Barabanki. MoS Kishore said benefits of welfare schemes of both the Centre as well as the state governments are reaching the public and to ensure that the party and its leaders are able to continue working in the same manner for service and nation building, they are taking blessings of the public. On the objective behind the outreach programme, the ministers said the BJP-led governments at the Centre as well as the state are working for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youths and women and this could be achieved only with the “blessings of the public”.

The third phase of the Brahmin conference organised by the BSP commenced at Barabanki on Monday. Conference chaired by party national general secretary, Satish Chandra Mishra, will be held in several districts of Central and East UP till August 24. Addressing conferences in the districts, Mishra claimed, the misrule by the BJP is leading the country to destruction. The people belonging to Brahmin and Dalit communities are being harassed by the BJP government. How much COVID-19 protocol will be adhered to in the union ministers led Jan Ashirvaad Yatra has to be seen? The BSP chief also attacked the state government over law and order.
