Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh on November 16, and inaugurate Purvanchal Expressway at Karwal Kheri in Sultanpur district at around 1:30 PM.Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present during this.
PM Modi will be here for 1 hour 45 minutes.After the inauguration, Prime Minister will also witness an Airshow by the Indian Air Force on the 3.2 km long airstrip constructed on the Expressway in Sultanpur district to enable landing—take-off of Indian Air Force fighter planes in case of emergency.
Under the ‘touch and go’ operation, the fighter plane will touch the expressway and then take off. Everyone will be thrilled to see their sky-high feats. Planes like Sukhoi, Mirage, Rafale, AN 32 will be included in the air show.
On the other hand, tight arrangements have been made for the security of the prime minister. 6 SPs will be present along with the district police and a big force have been deployed around the venue. At present, 3 fighter planes have arrived. The rehearsal took place in front of the CM and further rehearsals will continue till November 16.
In the program, Governor Anandiben Patel, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Textiles Minister Smriti Irani, CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Ayodhya MP Lallu Singh, Anurag Thakur, MP Maneka Gandhi, MPs of all districts will be joining PM Purvanchal Expressway program.
As per Additional Chief Secretary Avanish Awasthi, Purvanchal Expressway is the biggest project of the state. Despite two waves of covid, it was prepared in 36 months. Industrial corridors will be built on both sides, which will have machinery, food processing, dairy-milk development. Those who go out from here will get employment here.
The Purvanchal Expressway is 341 Km long. It starts from village Chaudsarai, district Lucknow located on Lucknow-Sultanpur road (NH-731) and ends at village Hydaria located on National Highway No. 31, 18 km east of UP-Bihar border. The expressway is 6-lane wide which can be expanded to 8-lane in future. Constructed at an estimated cost of about Rs 22500 crore, the Purvanchal Expressway is going to give a boost to the economic development of eastern part of Uttar Pradesh especially the districts of Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur.
