Congress promises smartphones and e-scooty for girl students, waiving off farmers’ debts….poll-promises starts giving spasm to ruling Yogi-BJP government

Lucknow: Just days after AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra announced that 40-percent of party tickets in the forthcoming UP polls will be reserved for women, the UP Congress on Saturday made a series of election promises read poll-manifesto from giving smartphones and scooties to Bachelor girl students, complete waiver of farmers’ debts, government jobs to 20 lakh people to relief packages of Rs 25,000 to each Covid-affected family. Among other announcements, the Congress party also promised to the UP’s farmers; MSP of Rs 2,500 for rice and wheat per quintal and Rs 400 for sugarcane per quintal. The Congress further said that electricity bills will be shared if it comes to power in the state.
On these 7 pledges of Congress, ruling BJP feeling uncomfortable, Minister of Finance and Parliamentary Affairs of Yogi government Suresh Khanna says that they are nothing but electoral lollipops, Priyanka is trying to mislead people in the name of Pratigya-7 pledges. UP BJP said that like the migratory birds, Priyanka also remembers the people of Uttar Pradesh during the elections itself and this time read 2022 the people of Uttar Pradesh are going to end their election tourism forever. On ground zero the UP Congress is for the first time in years trying to pose a serious challenge to the ruling BJP and opposition SP and BSP in Uttar Pradesh.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Saturday launched 7 pledges of Congress read “Pratigya Yatras” in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district with seven promises, ahead of next year’s Assembly elections. Congress Gen Sec flagged off the three 10-day “Pratigya Yatras” for western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bundelkhand. The three yatras which were flagged off Saturday takes three routes: Varanasi to Rae Bareli, Barabanki to Jhansi, and Saharanpur to Mathura. The rallies led by Congress leaders will include temple visits, road shows, community outreach and meetings with influencers. The fourth one, for the Awadh zone (Lucknow, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur division districts ) will be held after Diwali; said UP Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi.
Suresh Khanna, senior-most minister in the Yogi Government said that Priyanka Gandhi should make her name ‘Priyanka Declaration’. Minister asked Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra whether all these pledges are applicable in the states ruled by her party. Are Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Punjab not in India? . Show these pledges first by implementing them in Congress ruled states, then announce them in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh poll.
The congress party which did not exist in opposition in the country and the state last 1989, is eager to get the power. Yogi government finance and parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Khanna said that Congress had given the slogan of Garibi Hatao but never did anything for the poor. He said that the people of the country and the state have seen the rule of Congress where the life of the people had become difficult under the Congress rule. The hard earned money of the people of blood and sweat was getting paid for corruption. There was loot all around and it was heard that there was a scam in the UP Congress, due to which the state treasurer had to be removed, Khanna said.
